I found the Olympus Voice Recorder to be handy in class. You know those classes where the teacher talks really fast and you can’t write everything down and absorb it at the same time? It’s good for those tough classes. The recorder comes with folders so you can separate the recordings by different categories. It’s also relatively easy to upload the files onto the computer so you can listen on your computer. Highly recommend for students.

Very easy to set up and use. I had no problem following the instructions. The recorder is compact and lightweight and will easily fit in a shirt pocket. Recording and play back sound quality are average.

The Model 6200PC is easy to use for notes… If you try to record music the speaker seem to vibrate…..should just use to recprd notes, etc.

We bought this for a research project where we are collecting interviews. While the recorder was easy to use and has great sound and pick up quality *on the recorder* the files we transferred to computer had a significantly more distorted quality. Also our tem leader has a mac, and the files would not transfer, which was a nightmare. We now have to have someone transfer the files on a pc, then burn them to disc then give them to the project leader and transfer them to a mac. We did not have this problem with our other voice recorders. if you have a PC, this product is great. If you have a mac, look elsewhere.
